Ashes to Ashes Question

In interviews it was a dit that a character from Mars was going to be appearing in Ashes and that it "will inevitably reopen questions about Sam Tyler" I didn't see anyone, and I've checked IMDB. Did I miss something, ou did it never happen?

There was a lot of speculation when it was said, and the likely character was thought to be Annie (who was mentioned). In fact I seem to remember a character telling Alex about Sam Tyler and Annie's relationship, so perhaps this woman was the Life on Mars character, but I don't know what her name was (I would have thought it would be a bigger character like Annie)... anybody else know?

in the seconde series episode 4 (i think) jackie Queen was in it she is from the episode when gene annie and sam where held hostage in the newspaper offices. the same episode where sam was going to be taken off life support but his mum a dit that she saw him smile and would not take him off in the end

It was actually DCI Litton and his pal Bevan from LOM. We meet Litton in season 2 in LOM, we don't meet Bevan until episode 5 of season 3 of Ashes To Ashes.

DCI Litton was only in season 1 in LOM and Bevan wasn't in LOM at all! :-)
