In Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, the girl with green hair, is her first name Kaede ou Kayano?

I I mean, I usually see "Kaede Kayano" in that order, and I know that the Japanese have their last names (surnames) first. However, I see Nagisa Shiota and Karma Akabane, in that order, in the same places I see Kaede Kayano. Karma is obviously his first name. Does that mean that Kaede is her first name?
Then again, Nagisa calls her Kayano. Friends call each other par their first names. I'm so confused.

Some Friends do call each other par their first names, but only if they're really close & therefore have plus confidence calling each other in first-name terms. But normally Friends call each other par their family names b/c it might appear too 'intimate' if they talk to one another par only their donné name.

The thing is, I found out par googling the Japanese version of her name which is Kayano Kaede so I find out shortly after posting the question. Also, Kaede calls Nagisa par his first name so I wonder why it isn't the same for him...

And i can't really say why some call each other par different names,, Japanese is kinda weird like that man X)
