Post an animé which was the opposite of what toi expected.

When I first started watching Hetalia I thought it would be something serious but I l’amour that I was wrong.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. I thought it was a regular magical girl animé (and I never watch those), but after the third episode, I realized that animé are NEVER what they make out to be.

I almost feel like reposting either one of my Kiba rants ou my TLOLH spiel. But I won't. Time to broaden my horizons!
I'll go with the animé I just recently finished, Gatchaman Crowds. I was expecting a REALLY stupid montrer after the 1st half of episode 1. It was painfully bland and the plot didn't really give me anything to get excited over. I was just about to quit when THAT OPENING played. It was l’amour at first sight with that opening and thanks to it I kept watching. Thanks indeed. Turns out the montrer switched plots in about episode 3, made all (ok, ALMOST all) of their characters interesting, and introduced the best Jim Carrey impression I've ever heard. Yeah, it had it's stupid moments. Just about every animé does, even the masterpieces (*cough*POTATOCHIPSCENE!*cough*). So yeah, I was pleasantly surprised and am now waiting for Season 2~

Honestly,Accel World dissapoint me in one thing that upset me really.That is I thought MC will change to plus perfect match for the MC heroine.What I meant is I want to see Haruyuki,the main character in slim figure! Not anymore fat figure....that disappoint me much.Well,hopefully,after SAO release full season,then AO will too thou I not sure about it.

First that comes to my mind: School days. toi know, I expected the usual - high school, romance, harem etc. But definitely not THAT!

To be honest, when I first heard of 'Soul Eater', I thought it was an old guy( look at photo below ) who goes around eating souls. But actually, it's about a group of teenagers who goes around trying to get 99 evil human souls and 1 witch soul.

judging the art i thought it was just a funny kids montrer with stupid jokes and stuff like that

kyoukai no kanata. i like a few kyoani shows and was expecting it to be as good as them. honestly i was pretty disappointed. from what other people said, i expected to be hooked par the first episode. the first episode bored the heck out of me. watched a few more. i didn't see what the hype was about.
