Hunter x Hunter isn't the only Togashi series with shitty parents.

Atsuko Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho.

She lives in filth; garbage everywhere. All she ever does is get drunk & stay drunk. She lets her son skip school. She got pregnant at 14. In the manga she has yakuza connections & is apparently a prostitute.

Ash's Mom and generally every other parent in Pokemon

Ash basically left accueil at 10 and has gotten electrocuted , turned to stone , fallen off cliffs , attacked par pokemon that could easily kill him , possessed par some evil king , and made Friends with complete strangers . Yep Ash's mom has done a terrible job in raising her son and only contacts him every few months ou so .

Ren Sohma is par far the WORST MOTHER EVER!
reasons(SPOILERS!!!)
1) She raised her daughter as a boy because her husband gave her plus attention.
2) she enjoys her daughters suffering,Kureno even a dit she was damaged both physically and mentally.
3)She damaged Akito and she is insane as her.
basicly, all mothers in Fruits basket are terrible for abandoning their kids(except for Kagura and Hiro's mothers) just to get close with Akito

Kikyo Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter.

She's a sadomasochistic manic-depressive mother of 5.

All of her son's are professional assassins.

Since she has no daughters, she dresses her two youngest in drag.

She almost killed one of her butlers; Canary, whom is only a child.

She kept her youngest son locked away in a room because he was dangerous.

She didn't exactly come to Killua's aid when his brother Milluki had him shackled to whip & electrocute him for running away from home.

She is dead set against allowing Killua to make any friends, including with the staff.

She raised Illumi, & he's probably the single most evil person in the series.

She dresses like a freak.

She is a terrible mother, left her daughter for the sake of her work & always denies that is her daughter

She may not be the worst mom, but she's pretty bad. Kousei Arima's mom in Your Lie in April. She physically and emotionally abuses her son and passes it off as discipline when he makes a mistake playing the piano. And then, when her son actually gets the clue that being perfect isn't possible and she's just a crazy psychopath, she convinces him its not true and to keep playing because every time he gets first in a competition she 'gets better'. She doesn't give a shit that people are talking about her son behind his back, and when he's suffering the most all she says is that it's his punishment. When all her son is doing is trying to make her happy, she still beats him for his mistakes and she publicly canes him because he missed a note. She's just a terrible, abusive chienne and I hate her so much.

Presea Testarossa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) is another worst mom because in episode 7 in season 1 of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Despite her daughter Fate Testarossa's effort to collect Jewel Seeds. Presea never appreciate Fate's effort. Presea is sickly, very greedy, abusive and cruel to Fate. Presea is treating Fate like a tool rather than a daughter. She only cares about Alicia Testarossa (her biological daughter) and her plan. She tortures Fate and Alph (Fate's familiar).
