What's up with this new eye patch fetish?

Wait, is it new? ou is it old and just surfaced again? I'm quite confused, lulz. I just started noticing this a few months earlier...and then when plus and plus animé I've been watching featured eye patched girls, I was like "Oh no, another aléatoire fetish that doesn't seem to make sense to me." Ack, when did this start?! I feel so lonely and left out D,:

They just seem so cool and mysterious, and lots of people have a thing for characters who montrer one eye. xD
