I always felt really sorry for Ed. He had to grow up pretty fast after his failed attempt to bring his mother back to life and then had to struggle for the suivant couple of years trying to find the Philosopher's stone in order to get his younger brother's body back and restore his Lost limbs. Not to mention that he basically gave up his own life at the end of the first animé in order to bring Alphonse back from the Gate. I just felt that after all they went through they should have at least been able to experience a happily ever after. At least they do get their happy ending in the Brotherhood version.

I think for me it would have to be Haku from Naruto. He was almost killed as a child then was used as a wepon (of sorts) par Zabzua. Then...he died saving him. Poor Haku :(!!

I've always felt bad for Ryou Bakura. He's got this evil spirit inside him that takes over his body and forces him to do terrible things. And to add insult to injury, the evil spirit actually stabbed Ryou in the arm as part of an evil plan

I feel bad for a number of different characters One would be Rima-chan from Shugo Chara one reason is because of her childhood was really sad with her parents always fighting over little things and then Rima came up with the "funny face" and she tried to stop them from fighting and at times it worked but this one time it was gone too far and her father yelled at her to stop and she was nearly in tears and they didn't even pay attention how she felt during all that.

Probably Kagura from Ga-Rei: Zero. Her mom died while on an exorcist mission and then her dad sent her off to a strager's house <.< Then she became extremely close to Yomi and built up a relationship, then Yomi got forcibly possessed par the Death Stone and killed three people close to Kagura including her father. And then to add to the matter Kagura was forced to kill the only really important person close to her: Yomi. Now she'll never be able to have someone else important to her again.

Thief King Bakura. toi can't really blame him for going insane; when he was young he had to watch all his loved one be killed, melted in gold, and turned into the millennium items.
