droits des animaux Question

Is fishing considered hunting?

I've only went fishing one time and didn't catch anything but is fishing and then eating considered hunting? Also, is poisson considered meat?

I think it really depends. Yeah, I understand that one is killing the animal for food, but there is plus abundance.
Unless toi are fishing endangered poisson ou poisson who's numbers have declined over time, it is not really a big issue.

I go fishing for sport myself, but we always let them go away unharmed.

Fishing for sport is okay as LONG AS toi LET THEM GO.

Fishing for survival is okay, you have to eat to live.

Killing ou eating for sport is wrong.

Fishing is considered hunting. And yes poisson are a part of the meat group.

These should answer your questions.

Wether toi let the poisson go ou not, its still left with a big hole in the roof of its mouth, im sure toi wouldnt appreciate someone shoving a hook in your mouth, ripping it out and then sending toi on your way?! toi have to see it from every aspect!!!

fishing hurts the fish. what would toi do if someone pushed a needle through your upper lip? i think that is torture for them too. firstly they have a hole on their upper mouth seconde of all they are beaten to death after they are taken out of the water and third of all they are killed. in my view it is.

If your fishing for the meat than yes and If your fishing for endangered poisson than double yes! If your just fishing for the fun of the sport and letting them go after than No. So It all depends...

I think so. IT is still catching animaux for food, just in a different way. Obviously poisson is meat.

Gosh. I don't know. Catch and release is totally fine. If your fishing for food, and there is enough fish, totally not. If your fishing for survival, nope. If your fishing for fun, and then killing them, absolutely not.

I dont care what anybody say's, yes it is!!!!
Its just like renard hunting in many ways, people are deliberatly going out with the intention to lure an animal to its death!
Ripping it from its natural inviroment and then killing it all for the sake of human purposes, wether it be pleasure ou food, its still wrong!!

i poisson a lot, but i always let the poisson go. ITs jsut a fun sport if toi let the poisson go. When toi dont and eat the poisson then i think that is considered hunting. I only did that once and it was there was a high population of this one poisson and it was wiping out all the others. so I hunted poisson for a good cause. Other than that i think fishing is just a fun sport if toi know what to do.

Okuni said:
Fishing is hunting, but hunting is necessary for survival in the natural world. Well, at least it used to be. At least when toi hunt for food, toi play the predator and the prey has a chance to escape, like the case with a lion and a gazelle. But locking animaux like pigs, cows, chickens etc in a slaughter house and giving them no chance to escape while they are killed for food? That is pure murder. So is fishing/hunting for sport.

Though...I'm the kind of person who has to eat meat ou my body might fail on me so it's sad that I still eat all that. I stay away from endangered meat though. I don't need to eat exotic stuff, I just need the meat. 0_0

fishing depends on what toi are doing if toi are there to catch and cook ou catch and kill then yes because toi are killing a animal, but catch and return is not because toi are NOT killing the animal there for it depends on what toi are there to do.
