Alice au Pays des Merveilles (2010) Question

What fabric was used for the Hatters hat?

Does anyone know what fabric they used to make the hat?
I want to make one par myself, but my first try wasn't that great. So my suivant try have to be better and plus original.

I'm asking cause I've seen some photos of some kind of museum and perhaps there was a description?
What fabric was used for the Hatters hat?

I wouldn't know the specifics of the actual material used, but I have a better quality picture that might help toi out.
All I can say about it is that I'm guessing it's the same type of material used in a normal haut, retour au début hat. Almost a jean like thickness, but different texture.
Here's a great homemade video on making the Hatter's hat here: link (And now that the movie's out toi can make it even plus accurate)
And here's some plus information on haut, retour au début hat material: link

For my hat I just used a regular haut, retour au début hat as the base and wrapped brown and green dentelle around it to give it the colour. Then I sewed in all of the stitiching par hand and made it look plus authentic.
Best of luck!!
