Has anyone else seen the Barchester Chronicles?

I have mixed feelings. Mind toi it's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember not liking it THAT much. Maybe because of lack of music... I know it's an old show, but still, it kinda bothered me. I loved Alan's jouer la comédie though, but then again, I always l’amour his acting. He owns every seconde he is on screen. I also liked the story. Maybe it's time to watch it again.

I absolutely L♥VED the Barchester Chronicles! :) As stated, it did take a few minutes for me to really become interested in the story line but-after I did-I was hooked! I believe that Obediah Slope is EASILY one of Alan's best roles to rendez-vous amoureux, date :) As much as I l’amour Alan as a PERSON, I couldn't help but find Mr. Slope to be quite a slimy sort! I highly recommend this series to any fan of Mr. Rickman :)

i did see him as slope and i thought he was superb. his character was meant to be unlikeable and he did a good job at it. he is truly brilliant. plus there is a bit of a softy in there... i really liked, "beautiful woman, toi cannot pretend to be ignorant that i adore you."
