(Adapted from a NY Times recipe)
2 ounces Metaxa Five-Star Brandy
1 ounce Calvados
½ ounce Patron Citronge
½ ounce real absinthe (with Wormwood/Thujone)
½ ounce citron juice
Splash of simple syrup
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
Yield: 1 serving
If toi are having trouble still finding true Absinthe in your US liquor store even though the wormwood ban was lifted, toi can scroll through the liens in this Absinthe Spot for numerous online vendors who will ship to the US with no problem.
Disclaimer: Don't drink and drive... and ummm be over the legal age if toi try this. Yeah. Right. heh.
