What do toi think the question mark in GG and THe End is?
I think it was a sea monster ou something. ou a Sea Snake because it slithered.

I think it has a connection with the Inhumane society, another organization. because in the "all The Wrong question Series", a character named Hangfire commits numerous crime to get the statue of the Bombinating beast from mallahan family.

The question mark stands for the great unknown, and it is Lemony Snicket's style to leave many things to the imagination and to answer very little. I think he is trying to illustrate the point 'Such is life' because in reality toi do not always find an answer.
